Apple is said to launch Smart Home Camera, but not this year

Apple’s foray into the smart home camera market is likely to materialise in 2026, according to prominent supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. While the tech giant is yet to reveal any official details, Kuo claims that mass production of the smart home camera will begin in 2026, with Apple planning to sell tens of millions of units over time.
The camera, Kuo reports, will feature wireless connectivity and tight integration with Apple’s AI and Siri. However, specific features and design elements of the device remain under wraps. It is expected to play a key role in Apple’s broader smart home ecosystem.
Interestingly, earlier reports indicated that Apple was also developing a smart home display, slated for release as soon as 2025. It remains unclear whether the smart home camera Kuo refers to is part of that initiative or a separate product entirely.
In addition to the camera, Kuo also hinted at upcoming AirPods models with improved health management features, akin to the functionalities seen on the Apple Watch. These new AirPods, expected to debut in 2026, will be manufactured by Goertek, the same supplier said to assemble the smart home camera. But, since nothing is officially confirmed, users are advised to take the details with a pinch of salt.
Besides, Apple is reported to launch a new MacBook Air device featuring the latest M4 chip by early 2025. Bloomberg claimed that the production of the updated models could commence soon, with the launch likely to take place between January and March next year. This announcement follows a series of new Mac devices, including MacBook Pros, Mac minis, and iMacs, which are set to be revealed next week.
The refreshed MacBook Air models, which will come in 13-inch and 15-inch versions, will reportedly retain the design introduced in 2022. However, the significant upgrade will be the inclusion of the M4 chip, promising improved speed and performance, especially for AI-related tasks.
